Bagasse is fully compostable, robust, water and oil resistant, suitable for direct food contact and fridge and microwave safe. Bagasse a by-product of sugarcane is best suited for commercial composting where temperatures are controlled, although Bagasse can degrade in a good home compost heap as soon as six months.
Bagasse is not currently recyclable. Perfect for takeaways or delivery services as the tight fitting clear PP lid is recyclable.
